About Mrs. M

Hi! My name is Mrs. Mitchell

and I am THRILLED to be your teacher! It’s going to be a great year with lots of learning and new adventures.  I cannot wait to get started!
 

I am from Oklahoma City (Go Thunder!), but moved around a lot as a child before settling there again in college.  I got my bachelors of Education degree from Oklahoma Christian, AND met my husband there!

Mr. Mitchell and I got married in 2010. We settled into life with grown up jobs before we got an itch to be Peace Corps Volunteers!  We moved to Costa Rica to teach English with the Peace Corps for two years. We moved to Michigan last year after returning from Costa Rica. 

I have been in education for 5 years now.  My first two years of teaching were as a middle school science teacher in Oklahoma City.  And then I taught the English teachers in Costa Rica for two years.  This is my second year at Washington-Parks Academy.

This year is going to be fantastic!
